Solstice Lantern Walk

December 2023 First Sunday Sound Bath -- Sunday 03 December, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM EST

Every first Sunday, the cathedral-like acoustics in the tasting room of Starrlight Mead bring a sense of reverence and play to these sessions. Think of it like non-dogmatic sonic church.

Sound in the Gallery -- Saturday 09 December, 9:30 - 10:30 AM EST

Join us *IN PERSON* for a unique sound experience at the Eno Arts Mill and Gallery the Second Saturday of each month. With each new exhibition of art in the gallery space, we will explore concepts that are shared between the mediums of visual art and sound. This event is all about contemplation as each of these arts effect us in a variety of ways. Please bring a yoga mat, cushion, and comfort items for extended shavasana. We will gather in the gallery space at 9:30 and have a few minutes to set up and view the art on exhibit. Attendees can choose one piece as a focus, or bring the effect of the overall show to their mats and into meditation. Sonic landscape will be provided by a variety of instruments-- singing bowls, percussion, chimes, and vocals--highlighting the concepts of tone, color, frequency, and mood. There will be an opportunity for sharing and discussion before we end at 10:30. Space is limited to 10 attendees. To inquire, and to register, please email Jenn at liodhruna@gmail.com.

Candleglow Evening Sound Bath Meditation 15 December 2023, 7:30 - 8:30 PM EDTStarrlight Mead, Pittsboro, NC

Nighttime sonic ceremony is back by popular demand! Join us the third Friday of each month for a candle-lit evening sound bath featuring a variety of singing bowls, chimes and percussion accompanying the human voice. Honoring seasonal cycles, Ancient Song Therapy crafts sonic landscapes that are conducive for relaxation and mediation, as well as journey work and integration. RSVP is required. We are honored to be a part of Hillsborough Arts Council's Annual Solstice Lantern Walk again this year! This is a wonderful family-friendly event that continues to grow year over year. You can learn more about the event, how to participate in lantern-making, and join the walk, makers market, and Spiral of Light by following the image link. We will be creating an Illuminated Soundscape to accompany the Spiral of Light near the beginning of the walk. We hope to see you there!
